DISC for Individuals and Teams

What is DISC?

DISC assessment is a behavioral assessment designed to help individuals better understand their communication style, work preferences, and how they interact with others. It provides insight into patterns of behavior that influence collaboration, leadership, decision-making, and relationships in both professional and personal settings.

The DISC model is built around four primary behavioral styles:

  • Dominance (D) – Direct, results-oriented, and motivated by challenge and achievement

  • Influence (I) – Outgoing, enthusiastic, and energized by connection and collaboration

  • Steadiness (S) – Supportive, dependable, and focused on consistency and teamwork

  • Conscientiousness (C) – Analytical, thoughtful, and driven by accuracy and quality

Most people demonstrate a combination of these styles, with certain traits appearing more naturally depending on the environment or situation.

DISC is commonly used to support personal and professional growth by increasing self-awareness and improving communication. Individuals and teams often use the assessment to:

  • Strengthen communication and working relationships

  • Better understand leadership and management styles

  • Navigate conflict more effectively

  • Improve team collaboration and workplace dynamics

  • Identify individual strengths and growth opportunities

  • Build greater awareness of how different personalities approach work and decision-making

Whether you are interested in taking the DISC assessment individually or exploring it as a development tool for your team, I would be happy to share more information about the assessment process, workshop options, and how DISC can support your goals.
